Abbey has one of the best friends a little girl could ask for in Maliya. These two are inseparable! Maliya lives around the corner and is the same age as Abbey. Maliya's family situation is very similar to ours. She doesn't have any cousins her age and not a lot of family in the area. This allows for the two to be together a lot. Maliya is quick to bring Abbey a note if she's sick, they attend a dance class together and are also in the same first grade class. Today they got to spend some time together in the park. Maliya also had dinner with us. While my kids were refusing to eat the dinner we prepared (and eating PopTarts instead) Maliya enjoyed meat and potatoes. What a gal! We are so grateful for Maliya and the happiness she brings into Abbey's life.
JUDE'S FIELD TRIP /
Yesterday (March 2) I had the opportunity to go with Jude's third grade class on a field trip. We went to the Museum of Natural Curiosity at Thanksgiving Point. I got to chaperone with Holly Keele (Cooper's Mom). We had a group of eight kids to watch over. Jude has one of the most fantastic teachers. Her name is Miss. Seamons and she is completely invested in her student's and their success. We wish Jude could have her as his teacher for the rest of his elementary years. It was fun to see Jude with his classmates and Miss. Seamons with her students outside the classroom.

THANKS BRANDON AND AJ /
I had the opportunity to go visit my sister AJ, her husband Brandon and their son Max this past week in North Carolina. The primary reason for the visit was to babysit Max while Brandon and AJ went to The Lion King musical. Any reason I can find to be with these people I will take. I really enjoyed being with them and thank them for their hospitality.

DUKE BASKETBALL GAME /
Tonight Brandon took me to the Duke Men's basketball game. They beat Florida State. Fantastic game and amazing experience! Thanks Brandon, you're the best.
SHAUNA'S SUNDAY CROCHET /
Shauna set a goal for this year. She wants to learn how to crochet. We're already in February and she made this! She has huge talent.
WARM SATURDAY /
We finally got a warm Saturday. To celebrate, Penny decided to bring her tricycle out of winter storage. She received this tricycle as a birthday present from her Grand-parents back in December.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAX /
Today is my nephew's 1st birthday! Max is loved by all, especially his cousins. Max currently resides in North Carolina where he's slowly becoming a Duke fan.
